"Transported by a rush of sensation and emotion." That was the brief from the New York Philharmonic for their rebrand initiative. They needed a new brand that showed off the uplifting and spiritual connection with music, a connection that can only be achieved through the precision and virtuosity of the orchestra. The logo represents the orchestra, it changes depending on the context and it has the ability to change emphasis, cadence, rhythm, etc. much like the dynamism of the music. Organic artwork interweaves with the rigid logotype as does the compelling music produced by the technical precision of the New York Philharmonic.
